The Dove Block Project, a community arts center in historic downtown Geneva, NY invites artists living in the Finger Lakes region of New York to submit artwork to Music of the Eye: In the Spirit of Arthur Dove, a juried exhibit that will run April 15–May 6, 2023 with an opening reception Saturday, April 15, 4–6 pm.
In keeping with the The Dove’s commitment to meaningful community arts experiences, this exhibit celebrates Arthur Dove’s standing as a groundbreaking American modernist painter, calling attention to his influence on contemporary regional artists whose work today embodies his journey into abstract, non-objective paintings inspired by the forms, rhythms, and colors of nature.
